Tak Sama tapi Mirip? Kalo "Mirip" berarti ya memang tak sama... 

Apa maksudnya? Kali ini saya mengulas mengenai gadget Blackberry. 

Not the Same but Similar ? If "Similar" means certainly it is not the same ...
What does it mean? This time I review the Blackberry gadget.

Curve 9220

Belum lama ini RIM meluncurkan varian baru yang masih dari "keluarga" Curve, yaitu Curve 9220. bagi anda penggemar gadget tentu sudah pernah tahu keluarga Curve ini apa saja. Saya malah kurang paham mengenai hal ini. 

RIM recently launched a new variant that is still of the "family" Curve, the Curve 9220. for those of you gadget fans would have never known anything Curve family. I actually do not understand about this.

Yang ingin saya soroti adalah perbedaan (atau malah persamaan) dari Curve 9220 ini dengan Curve yang sudah lama beredar yaitu Curve 8250 alias Gemini. Entah apa alasan RIM dalam meluncurkan 9220 ini. Apakah sekedar strategi untuk menarik perhatian pasar menengah ? atau ada tujuan lain? Karena saya bingung melihat 9220 yang hampir tidak ada beda-nya dengan 8250. Baik secara design maupun spesifikasi. 

What I want to highlight is the difference (or equality) of the Curve 9220  is a Curve which had long been produced the Curve 8250 aka Gemini. Not sure the reason of RIM in 9220 launched. Is it only a strategy to attract the attention of the middle market? or any other purpose? Because I was confused to see that 9220 is almost no difference with 8250. Both the design and specification.

Logikanya, produk baru memberikan nilai tambah atau memperbarui dari produk lama. 

Secara design, yang ada malah pengurangan. Tombol media di bagian atas dihilangkan, mungkin adanya tombol BBM di sisi kiri akan "menukar" dari pengurangan tersebut. Design bentuk sama sekali tidak berubah.

Curve 8250 (Gemini)

Secara spesifikasi lebih - lebih...letak perbedaan dari Curve 8250 (Gemini) hanya dari Internal memory. Jika pada 8250 hanya ditanam 256MB, sedangkan di 9220 dipasangkan 512MB Internal. Hal ini menurut saya wajar saja karena OS bawaan 9220 "dipaksa" untuk mengikuti jaman yang sudah masuk di OS 7.1. Sedangkan lainnya tetap sama, RAM 512, resolusi 320x240, no GPS, Camera 2MP, dll. 

It more specifications -even more ... lies the difference from the Curve 8250 (Gemini) of the Internal memory only. If planted in 8250 only 256, whereas in 9220 paired with 512MB Internal. It is in my opinion it is only natural because the default OS 9220 "forced" to keep pace with the OS 7.1. While others remain the same, RAM 512, a resolution of 320x240, no GPS, 2MP Camera, etc..

Dari sisi harga, harga 9220 justru lebih mahal yaitu 2 juta rupiah, sedangkan Gemini sekarang ini masih dibawah 2 juta yaitu 1,7 - 1,8 juta. Dari adanya perbedaan harga dan spesifikasi yang begitu tipis ini lah yang saya kurang paham. Mungkin akan lebih masuk akal jika design bentuk 9220 berbeda, sehingga user akan lebih bisa memilih sesuai selera. Seperti yang terjadi pada Pearl 9105 dan Bold 9700 Onyx. Spesifikasi mereka hampir sama, namun perbedaan design yang sangat mencolok sehingga mereka memiliki pasar masing - masing, dengan demikian semakin luas pasar yang diraup oleh Blackberry. 

In terms of pricing, the price was more expensive 9220 is 2 million rupiahs, while Gemini is currently under 2 million that is 1.7 to 1.8 million. Of the difference in prices and specifications are so thin it is what I do not understand. Maybe it would make more sense if the design is different 9220 forms, so the user would be able to choose according to taste. As happened in Pearl 9105 and Bold 9700 Onyx. They are almost the same specs, but the difference is very striking design that they have their market - each, thus obtains the broad market by Blackberry.

Jadi, apakah 9220 ini bermaksud mengganti 8250 ? lalu bagaimana nasib distributor yang sudah terlanjur stock? Berarti RIM justru "membunuh" distributornya sendiri?


So, if 9220 is intended to replace the 8250? and how's the already stock distributor? RIM actually means "kill" the distributor itself?
